Coding learning app Mimo raises €650,000 seed round

Edtech startup Mimo, based in Vienna, has €650,000 in a seed round to further develop its mobile coding learning app.

The funding comes from VC firm Push Ventures, and a number of angel investors including Johann Hansmann, busuu cofounder Bernhard Niesner, and the founders of Runtastic.

The gamified app teaches users how to code and build apps and websites through free and subscription-based tiers. With its new investment, the company plans to hire more developers and an editor-in-chief to oversee the content.

The startup previously gained a public funding grant from the City of Vienna to the tune of $80,000 and $120,000 from the Techstars accelerator where it participated.
