Min Doktor raises €22.6 million for its digital doctor visits app

Swedish health tech company Min Doktor has raised €22.6 million in a Series B round led by EQT Ventures.

The Malmö-based company’s app provides doctor-patient communications through voice, video, and text, and allows doctors to issue prescriptions. It will use the funds to enter new markets with its product.

“I founded this company with the ambition to help more patients in a way that’s also efficient for the doctors,” said Magnus Nyhlén, founder of Min Doktor.

Lars Jörnow of EQT Ventures added that Min Doktor’s service meets the sort of long-term thinking that digital healthcare needs to follow. The market for mobile app doctor consultation has become a rather vibrant one in recent years with companies like Babylon Health and fellow Swedes KRY offering similar services.

Min Doktor raised €4.7 million last December but its CEO Charlotta Tönsgård stepped down. The company has yet to appoint a new CEO.
