Cancer care platform Noona raises €1.5 million seed round

Digital health startup Noona Healthcare has raised €1.5 million in a seed round led by Inventure with participation from The Noaber Foundation and Capricorn ICT Arkiv.

Finland-based Noona provides a mobile platform for cancer treatment centres to interact with and monitor patients and identify possible symptoms and allocate necessary resources. It also provides data for researchers for the development of new treatments. Its research partners include Stanford Medicine and Helsinki University Cancer Center.

“The funding will allow us to focus on marketing the platform globally and building strategic partnerships, that we have already entered with pharma giant MSD among others,” said Jani Ahonala, CEO of Noona. “Our plan was never to make it alone – but together with the leading global players in the life science arena.”

The startup’s next steps involve bringing artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to the platform.

“Our vision is to create a digital coach that can talk to cancer patients and help them cope with their disease and treatments.”
