Coworking space platform OfficeR&D raises $1 million seed round

OfficeR&D, a coworking space management platform, has raised $1 million in seed funding from LAUNCHub Ventures with participation from Constant Tedder, the co-creator of video game Runescape, and the cofounders of Bulgarian software firm Telerik.

The startup is based in both London and Sofia. It plans to triple its staff and invest in further product development. The white-label platform is used by coworking spaces and offices to manage their spaces available and their revenue. Currently more than 100 offices use the service.

OfficeR&D was founded with the help of Pi Labs, a VC firm in London that specialises in property tech.

Miroslav Miroslavov, CEO of the company (pictured), believes in “workspace-as-a-service” as a viable means of working for SMBs.

“For flexible workspace operators this brings significant challenges, particularly as they scale up or expand to new locations. Members have come to expect seamless service, and flawless automation is increasingly imperative for a workspace success,” he said.

“This funding round will ensure that we can continue to anticipate and address those challenges for our customers, allowing us to offer the best full-service solution for this dynamic and exciting market,” the CEO added.

“We believe that coworking spaces represent the future of the office, and the market shows no sign of slowing,” commented Rumen Iliev, partner at LAUNCHub, adding that coworking space management has been an underserved market until recently.
