Pacemaker, a Swedish company that has developed an app for DJs, raised $1 million from investors such as Spintop Ventures, Solang Invest, and Victor & Victor in a recent financing round.

Pacemaker, who had previously developed a portable DJ set, has created an app that allows DJs to mix streamed music rather than having to work with downloaded files. The app is compatible with Spotify.

The company says it will use this new investment to expand its reach with the goal of creating a legal solution to distributing remixes on high-paying music platforms.

In a statement quoted by DiGITAL, Jonas Nordberg, president of Pacemaker, says "with this investment, we were able to forge ties with people with cutting-edge knowledge in music-tech and international network within the music industry. It means a lot for a small company from Sweden."
