Prezi announces collaboration with Logitech and two new executives as they pass 60 million users

Hungarian presentation platform Prezi has announced a collaboration with Logitech and added two new executives to the team as the company hits 60 million users globally.

Jim Szafranski joins Prezi as chief operating officer and Jim Banister as Head of Product. Prezi has also entered a co-marketing relationship with computer accessories maker Logitech, who manufacture wireless presenters. Prezi and Logitech will integrate each other’s solutions for creating better presentations. The collaboration will help both companies to improve users’ presentations, said Charlotte Johs, Logitech’s global vice president of computer peripherals.

“Our worldwide community is creating and sharing their prezis in record numbers,” said Prezi CEO and co-founder Peter Arvai, on the company’s user growth. Prezi says it has over 190 million public presentations, or “prezis”, in its database with over a billion views across the Prezi community.

“Visual storytelling is key to the success of our customers, helping them stand out in an increasingly noisy world where bullet points have too often replaced meaning,” he said. “By teaming up with Logitech, our community of millions of people using Prezi worldwide will be able to create and deliver even more impactful presentations.”

Prezi, founded in Hungary in 2009, currently employs 250 people in in 27 countries with offices in Budapest and San Francisco. Customers of Prezi include Brother, Staples, Lufthansa, and South by Southwest and avail of the platform in nine languages.
