SaaStock - finally, a dedicated SaaS conference in Europe

SaaStock 2016

I've just returned from Dublin after attending a great tech conference held at the city's RDS venue. Not the Web Summit, which as you may know has moved to Lisbon, but SaaStock, the first event dedicated to software-as-a-service companies in Europe.

tech.eu was proud and pleased to support the launch of the conference in Ireland's beautiful capital as a media partner, and we'll be sure to return next year (18-20 September, 2017).

The inaugural SaaStock event was a hit, with hundreds of people from across the European SaaS industry attending and speaking. Alan Gleeson has published a great blog post with 10 B2B / SaaS lessons he learned from following the keynote and panel sessions.

To wit, I met with founders and executives from Intercom, Buffer, Typeform, Pipedrive, ChartMogul, Prezi, GoCardless, Slack, Teamwork, Workable, Social Bakers, Algolia and many more. Save for a few notable hold-outs (such as Belgium's Showpad and Alfresco), Europe's largest and fastest-growing SaaS stars seemed to be all there to exchange knowledge, share experiences and - amusingly - recommend SaaS tools to help their peers thrive as they build their own businesses.

Also worth noting was the strong presence of the investment community, with well-known firms like Index Ventures, Accel Partners, Balderton, Atomico, Bessemer VP, 500 Startups, Mosaic, Hoxton, LocalGlobe, Connect Ventures and many more sending people over.

SaaS-focused investors such as Point Nine Capital and Notion Capital, and B2B startup studios like eFounders and Denmark's Founders were also there.

A solid first SaaStock. I'm already looking forward to next year's edition, which tech.eu will be happy to partner with again.
