Online audio platform SoundCloud has lost its senior vice president of engineering, Richard Durnall, to freshly public Scout24. Durnall joined the German online classifieds giant earlier this month in a newly created capacity as CTO for the group, reporting to CEO Gregory Ellis, we've learned.

Previously, Richard was CTO for the REA Group (Realestate.com.au) and a Principal Consultant for ThoughtWorks, a global technology consultancy. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was only with SoundCloud for about a year.

Scout24 recently started listing its shares on the Frankfurt stock market, giving it a market value of around €3.2 billion ($3.6 billion). To know how SoundCloud is doing, meanwhile, look no further than this excellent recent Bloomberg profile on the Berlin-based startup.
