Swedish enterprise big data startup Logical Clocks raises €1.25 million

Swedish startup Logical Clocks, which co-develops the open-source big data platform Hops, has raised a €1.25 million funding round from Inventure, Frontline Ventures, and AI Seed. Timo Tirkkonen, co-founder and partner of Inventure, will join the startup's board as the chairman.

Logical Clocks is one of the developers of the open-source Hops Hadoop platform, alongside with KTH Stockholm and RISE SICS AB. It also provides enterprise support for Hopsworks, the data and AI platform for Hops, helping large companies to structure and refine their data in order to fuel their AI effort.

“Our mission is to help enterprises transform their data into intelligence, whether that data is on-premises or in the cloud,” said Jim Dowling, CEO of Logical Clocks. “Hopsworks is a user-friendly platform for data science that can be used to build end-to-end pipelines that take raw data and refine it progressively until you have a model ready for use in production. Hopsworks will manage your valuable assets for AI in the industry’s first enterprise feature store, managing features for generating training data, experiment versioning for repeatable data science, and model management.”
