Pascal Smet, Brussels’ Minister of Mobility, is filing a complaint against ride booking company Uber, seeking to ban the service. He will also ask Google and Apple to remove the app from their stores.
The Commercial Court in Brussels has ruled that Uber is no longer allowed to offer ride-sharing service UberPOP in the capital of Europe, following complaints of unfair competition by mad taxi companies.
