UK-based Audio Analytic, which uses AI to develop sound recognition technology, announced the closing of a $5.5 million Series A round. The round was led by Cambridge Innovation Capital, with participation from IQ Capital, Rockspring, Cambridge Angels and Martlet. This Series A funding follows previous rounds in 2014 and 2015, bringing the company’s total money raised to $8 million.
Startupbootcamp’s Raph Crouan has led the IoT / Connected Devices accelerator to find nine startups that are driving the Internet of Things forward.
Finnish startup Noccela raised 1.2 million through a directed share issue. The company did not name the new investors, but said 89 percent of the funding comes from the Netherlands, while the remaining shares were bought by Finnish investors. Existing investors were included in this group.
