Spanish startup Exoticca raises €3.5 million for its affordable luxury travel packages

Barcelona-based travel platform Exoticca has closed a a €3.5 million equity round led by K Fund. Sabadell Venture Capital, Nero Ventures, Grupo Palau, Palladium Corporate Venture and Smartech Capital also participated in the round.

Through its platform, Exoticca offers ‘affordable luxury’ trip packages with various components including international and domestic flights, hotels, tourist guides, visits, land transport, meals, and travel insurance to over 50 destinations worldwide.

Exoticca is currently present in only three countries – Spain, United Kingdom and France – and the new funding will be used primarily to fund the startup's international expansion. The company will also invest in the further development of its platform.

“Our objective is to ‘democratize’ this segment of the travel market, making accessible and affordable to the general public those trips that only a small minority could afford before,” said Pere Vallès, Exoticca’s CEO. “This round will allow us to launch our platform in new countries while strengthening our technological leadership.”
