French employee experience platform whisks off €10 million for Spain and Italy rollout

While employee and HR interactions have traditionally centred around static, impersonal processes and focused on administrative tasks without much attention and communication with employees, several HR tech startups are now changing the game.

In the last two weeks, Berlin’s Leapsome welcomed $60 million in first-ever funding round and HeyJobs roped in $47 million to solve Europe’s labour crunch, Paris-based Lucca unlocked €65 million  and London startup Omnipresent raised $120 million to revolutionise the sector.

The latest company to declare its hand is Paris-based platform HeyTeam, which has raised €10 million to launch its operations in Spain and Italy. The round was led by 360 Capital Partners with participation from All Iron Ventures and angel investors, including Axel and Hugo Manoukian (MoovOne), Jonathan Azoulay (Talent.io), Olivier Severyns (Snaphisft) and Sabina Tommasi (Intel Corporation).

Founded in 2017 by Nathaniel Philippe, the French startup is streamlining the employee journey, creating workflows that are more personalised and collaborative, with the aim to increase employee recognition and retention. Its SaaS product supports HR teams at each part of the employee journey – from onboarding to offboarding and every step in between.

According to Nathaniel Philippe, founder and CEO, HeyTeam, retaining candidates will be the challenge of the decade as the ‘big resignation’ is about to hit a market that is already strained due to massive recruitment processes and talent shortages. “This new funding will allow us to continue promoting the digital transition at work. Employee relationship management, trust and support cannot be sustained without strong infrastructure and good tools,” he said.

The fresh funds will be used to reinforce the tech used as well as double its team headcount in the coming months while expanding in Spain and Italy.

The SaaS platform makes the employee workflow more personalised, enjoyable, and adaptable at scale. The platform facilitates contact and connection in all key moments of the worker’s life cycle. The tool, through automated marketing processes, proactively proposes actions that increase the well-being of employees.

The company is already working with the likes of SNCF, Naqaparo (ex Buffalo Grill), Jellysmack, MAIF, Prisma, Octo Technology, Believe Digital and Kiloutou.

Hugo Mardomingo, partner and co-director, All Iron Ventures, added: “We have been following the latest trends in workflow automation and we see a huge opportunity in human resources for a new SaaS platform adapted to the new era to emerge.”
