Israeli medtech company Aspect Imaging raises $30 million to develop its small MRI devices

Israeli medtech company Aspect Imaging, which develops small MRI systems for specific organs in the body, has raised $30 million from existing investors. This comes after raising a round of $20 million in July 2016.

Israeli medtech company Aspect Imaging, which develops small MRI systems for specific organs in the body, has raised $30 million from existing investors. This comes after raising a round of $20 million in July 2016.

Aspect Imaging says it will use the funding to complete the development of its Embrace Neonatal MRI system for infants, to be placed in neonatal intensive care units. It is also developing an MRI system specifically for stroke detection. The company says that by using these small MRI devices, patients won't have to wait long hours or go elsewhere in the hospital to get an urgent MRI scan.
