Barcelona-based lifelong learning startup Learnlife raises €3.1 million

Spanish-founded lifelong learning startup Learnlife has landed €3.1 million in a funding round led by BPO Capital. The company plans to use the money to grow the community of learners and educators, as well as open new “learning innovation hubs” across the world.

Learnlife defines its mission as to “empower 100,000,000 learners and 100,000 schools by 2030, enabling them to adopt and integrate learning innovation elements into their own projects.” The ecosystem that the startup is building is based on a hybrid approach that includes a digital platform and physical hubs.

So far, Learnlife has opened one 1,200 m² learning hub in Barcelona. The startup says that more than 70 learners are currently enrolled at the hub, accompanied by 24 learning guides, experts and mentors. The next hub is expected to open in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2020.
