Pipedrive brings on board an ex-Google and Uber exec to lead product development and spur growth

Heavily-funded Estonian sales software startup Pipedrive has hired Vinay Ramani as its new Chief Product Officer.

Ramani, who will be based in London, joins Pipedrive from Google, where he was Product Lead on the Search Ads team. Before joining the search and advertising giant, he held product leadership roles with Uber, Yahoo! and Adobe. At Pipedrive, he will oversee the company's product, data, design and research organisations.

Pipedrive provides sales pipeline and CRM software to more than 75,000 companies, having just raised $60 million ($50 million + $10 million) in Series C funding from Atomico, Insight Ventures Partners, Deutsche Telekom and others to spur growth. Hiring someone with Ramini's pedigree is another piece of the puzzle for the company as it wants to grow even faster. Pipedrive also recently said it will look at acquisitions to complement its organic growth.
