Spanish-American startup Cien raises $3.5 million

Cien, a sales productivity startup based in Barcelona and Dallas, TX, has raised a $3.5 million funding round from Paris-based Elaia, which invested $1.2 million, and founders and private investors. Cien plans to use the capital to increase its presence in North America.

The startup has developed a plug-and-play product that applies AI to CRM data in order to improve the effectiveness of sales teams. “Cien’s plug and play software calculates over 100 million predictions per day and uncovers tens of millions of dollars in lost sales opportunities,” the company said in a statement.
