The European technology and innovation industry is growing like a weed, and our current editorial team has been absolutely fantastic at dealing with the overwhelming amount of information that we need to make sense of for our equally growing readership and client base.

However, now is the time for us to expand our team (some more) before it gets too overwhelming.

We are the leading publication covering European tech innovation with relevant news & newsletters, data-driven insights, market intelligence, podcast interviews, events and more.

And we have exciting plans to keep it that way.

Therefore, we are looking for a journalist to join our editorial team (no fixed location, but preferably in Brussels or one of Europe’s main startup hubs: London, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm or Barcelona).

This is a great role for someone with 1-3 years of relevant work experience – a big plus if he or she is already self-employed – who is passionate about European technology, startups and innovation, and loves to write (a lot, and preferably, very fast).

The ideal person for this (ideally full-time) position is a native English speaker/writer with excellent reporting skills and solid grounding in technology, venture capital and business analysis fundamentals, who thrives when working autonomously, and can turn in various types of online copy quickly and cleanly; a strong social media presence and grasp on SEO is also desirable.

Her or his main workload will be researching for, writing and publishing news articles related to the European tech industry, with the occasional interview, startup or investor profile added to the mix. The perfect candidate will also represent Tech.eu offline at various industry events as a speaker, moderator or interviewer, which means previous experience on stage (or virtual, haha) would be a definite plus.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently, loves to learn and can handle herself/himself in a fast-paced environment within a ‘virtual office’ and experienced, distributed team.

She or he would also need to expect to have lots of fun.

If this sounds like you, let’s have a talk about what Tech.eu can offer you and what you bring to the table. Please contact me (robin@tech.eu) with a good mood and some compelling arguments, preferably before 31 January 2021 as we’re looking to hire someone as quickly as possible.

And feel free to share!
