Next Monday March 27, BNP Paribas will host its OpenUp Mar-Tech Mixer event in Paris, bringing together startups and decision makers at the bank.

The event will tackle the intersection between marketing and technology, with a focus on artificial intelligence. The “speed networking” format of the night will allow for startups to network with more than 30 executives from BNP Paribas to pitch their ideas and how they can be applied to the marketing sector in an innovative way.

Several marketing technology startups have already secured their places at the Mixer, including: Sightcall, Watcheezy, Gasolead, Smartly, SocialWall, Scoop.it, and TVTY. The startups were chosen through the OpenUp call for startups.

Attendees will also hear from Paris’ Ysance, a marketing platform for retailers, which will be discussing how it has worked with several large corporates, including BNP Paribas, EDF, Orange, and Auchan.

Earlier this month OpenUp by BNP Paribas also supported another event, the Fintech Safary, in Berlin. The two-day event took place across several different venues around the city and was all about the fintech ecosystem in Berlin, linking budding fintech startups with banks, financial institutions, and investors.

More than 200 people attended from Germany, France, Belgium, and Poland with participation from several fintech startups, local accelerators like Spielfeld and B-Hive, and investors including Lakestar, Seedrs, and Companisto. Talks and networking sessions focused on challenges like building a fintech startup from the ground up, securing vital investment, crowdfunding, and applying to accelerators.

The Fintech Safary is part of the Startup Safary franchise, which will soon be moving on to more cities in the future with events in Budapest and Athens.

BNP Paribas’ OpenUp program is an initiative that helps startups in connecting with project managers at BNP Paribas to find ways of innovating together.
