UK startup Babylon Health raises $60 million for its AI-based medical app

UK medtech startup Babylon Health has raised $60 million for its AI-based medical advice app. The investment comes from NNS holdings, Vostok New Ventures, and existing investor Kinnevik. The Financial Times reports that this round also included particiation from Sawiris, an Egyptian billionaire business family. Last year Babylon raised $25 million in Series A Funding. This lastest round brings the company’s valuation to $200 million, according to the FT.

Finnish health tech startup Wellmo raises €1.3 million

UK-based ALung Technologies closes $36 million Series C financing round

UK-based ALung Technologies, which develops technologies for patients suffering from respiratory failure, has closed a $36 million Series C financing round. The round was led by Philips and UPMC, with participation from new and existing investors including Abiomed, The Accelerator Fund, Allos Ventures, Birchmere Ventures, Blue Tree Ventures, Eagle Ventures, Riverfront Ventures, West Capital Advisors, and other individual investors.
