Italian startup ClouDesire raises €600,000

ClouDesire, a Pisa, Italy-based startup that helps software companies take their applications to the cloud to distribute and monetise them more efficiently, has closed a €600,000 seed round of funding. Telecom Italia led the round via its corporate investment arm, TIM Ventures.

The capital will serve to boost ClouDesire's marketplace for software apps and grow its presence in Europe, the two-year old company said.

A Spanish rival of ClouDesire, GetApp, was acquired by Gartner earlier this year.
