Nutmeg, the UK-based digital weath manager, raises £30 million after naming new CEO

Digital wealth manager Nutmeg has raised £30 million after naming Martin Stead its new CEO this summer. It says it will use the funds to accelerate its growth and expand its offering.

Digital wealth manager Nutmeg has raised £30 million after naming Martin Stead its new CEO this summer. It says it will use the funds to accelerate its growth and expand its offering.

Nutmeg claims the funding round, led by Hong Kong’s largest independent financial advisory firm Convoy, is the largest into British fintech since June's Brexit vote.

Convoy has invested £24 million and Nutmeg's existing investors have contributed the rest, including asset manager Schroders and leading London venture capital fund Balderton Capital.

In total, Nutmeg has raised £59.4 million over the last five years.
