French intranet solution LumApps raises $8 million to internationalise

France’s LumApps, an intranet for business content, has announced a funding round of $8 million. The Series A round was led by Idinvest Partners.

LumApps is an intranet solution that brings together all content in an enterprise and is integrated with Google’s G Suite. The new funding will be used to push its international expansion in the US and APAC.

“This gives us the ability to reach our goal of changing the way people collaborate and communicate at work by providing a smart digital workplace,” said CEO Sébastien Ricard (pictured, left).

“Our focus on R&D means we can develop the best intranet platform for companies requiring communication channels to support employees. We’re also diversifying our offering, starting with a new intranet for organisations in education and for NGOs, as well as extranets,” he added.

Its clients include Colgate-Palmolive and the Toronto Stock Exchange. According to the company, it expects its revenue to rise 250% this year.

“Over the past two years we’ve grown internationally and now serve many Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 customers,” said Ricard. "With the United States fast becoming our biggest market, we’ll be expanding in the US while also developing our presence in countries across Europe and the Asia Pacific region.”
