Spanish pick up and storage startup Boxmotions raises €1 million

Boxmotions, a solution for finding physical storage spaces, has raised €1 million in a seed round from a number of investors including Inveready, Banco Sabadell’s BStartup, Athos Capital, and The Crowd Angel.

The startup launched in 2016 in Barcelona and is a valet storage service for scheduling the pick up and storage of belongings.

It operates a monthly subscription business model where users can manage where and how their belongings are stored. Next it will launch in Madrid, London, and Paris.

The market for self-storage is Europe is around $1 billion, according to investor Inveready, with Spain being the third biggest country.

The founders Álex Corbacho and Pol Karaso come from backgrounds in airlines and logistics. They have appointed Sacha Michaud, cofounder of Glovo, a similar pick up and storage startup, to its board as an advisor.
