Chronomics, a London-based startup that's just launched what it claims to be “the world’s first consumer epigenetic testing kit” has raised £1.12 million from Anthemis, SOSV, and angel investors.
Chronomics' saliva test is supposed to bring a personalised and proactive approach to health management. According to the startup, it profiles a number of indicators to provide important insights into a person's health. Those include “biological age, metabolic status, and the impact of smoke exposure on the body,” Chronomics stated in a press release.
The startup has its roots in the academia, with three out of four co-founders — Tom Stubbs, Daniel Herranz, and Toby Call — having worked at the University of Cambridge.
