SaaS e-learning platform LearnWorlds gets $1.1 million in seed money to spur growth

LearnWorlds, a Greece and UK-based edtech company that allow trainers and businesses to launch and monetise their branded online schools and training centers, has closed a $1.1 million seed round led by Marathon Venture Capital

Panos Papadopoulos, a partner at Marathon Venture Capital, shares the reasoning behind the recent funding: “LearnWorlds is a rare breed of company that has bootstrapped to profitability while enjoying fast growth to over 1,000 customers in 70 countries, raving customer reviews G2 Crowd and Capterra, and a diverse customer base”. 

Countering the tendency for commoditisation of online educational content, LearnWorlds’ platform focused on becoming an end-to-end solution for creating and running an online academy. From authoring tools for creating interactive online courses, to monetisation, marketing, certifications and analytics, LearnWorlds helps creators forge meaningful bonds with their audiences and capture value through sales  increased customer engagement and success.

We decided to raise our first ever outside investment in order to move faster, increase our sales capacity and add features that will allow us to better serve large scale schools and enterprise customers”, added Panos Siozos, CEO and co-founder of LearnWorlds.
