Berlin-based fintech startup Penta raises €8 million+ from HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, others

Berlin, Germany-based Penta, which offers a digital financial services platform for businesses, has raised a funding round led by HV Holtzbrinck Ventures that exceeds €8 million.

Fabrick and Finleap, which actually acquired Penta earlier this year, also participated in the round, which will help the Berlin startup break new ground.

With a team of now over 50 people and led by CEO Marko Wenthin (coo-founder and former CCO of solarisBank), the startup wants to invest the fresh cash in the development of its product and partnerships, to try and become the financial platform of choice for small and medium-sized companies - and expand its digital banking service across Europe.
