Ingrid raises over €1.1 million: “What Klarna has done for payments, we want to do for deliveries”

Stockholm-founded “delivery experience platform” for online merchants Ingrid has raised 12.25 million SEK (some €1.16 million) from the local early-stage VC Blq invest. The startup claims to handle 10 percent of the e-commerce market in Sweden and is planning to use the capital injection to expand to new markets.

Founded in 2015, Ingrid wants to improve e-commerce delivery experience for end customers. It aggregates possible delivery options and offers them to the buyers during checkout while providing transparency and control over shipments to the merchants.

“Deliveries have been a constant headache for the e-commerce industry, I have built several e-commerce companies myself and faced the challenges personally,” said Piotr Zaleski, founder and CEO of Ingrid. “With Ingrid, we want to eliminate consumer anxiety one purchase at a time. What Klarna has done for payments, we want to do for deliveries.”
