Tel Aviv startup Run:AI raises $30 million in Series B funding

Run:AI, an Israeli software that helps enterprises and large research centres make the most of their AI infrastructure, has raised an additional $30 million in funding. The Series B round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors TLV Partners and S-Capital, bringing the startup’s total financing to $43 million. The company has built a software layer tailored to the needs of AI workloads running on GPUs and similar chipsets. Run:AI claims to be the first platform to bring OS-level virtualisation software to workloads running on GPUs, an approach that the startup says is inspired by the virtualisation and management of CPUs that revolutionized computing in the 1990s. So far most clients are from the automotive, finance, defense, manufacturing and healthcare industries. With the new investment, Run:AI will triple the size of its team and plans to provide data science training to software developers joining the company. Lonne Jaffe of Insight Partners will join the board.
