Blocktrade closes Luxembourg’s largest crowdfunding to date at €22 million

Digital asset marketplace Blocktrade has closed a €22 million Series A crowdfunding round that saw participation from over 6000 investors from 33 countries. According to the firm, this is the largest raise of its kind for a Luxembourg-based company.

In addition to improvements in operations, the company will use a portion of the new funding to support a B2C campaign planned for later this year, while a white label B2B partnership programme is also in the pipeline.

CEO Bernhard Blaha, who was instrumental in transforming the company post-Cryptix acquisition, comments, “Blocktrade is more than a classic crypto exchange: we are building a complete ecosystem around digital assets, which provides our users with much more than just access to trading tools.”
