Oslo startup is sailing its way with $1.6 million to steer community-driven funding

Oslo-based management platform for community-driven funding, Presail has raised $1.6 million funding. The round was led by Nordic seed fund Skyfall Ventures and saw the participation of Weekend Fund, Global Founders Capital, Kraken Ventures, Avlok Kohli, CEO of AngelList Venture, Aleksander Larsen, COO and founder of SkyMavis, Trevor McFedries, CEO of Dapper Collectives, Thuc Tuan Hoang, CEO and founder of Firi, Sabrina Hahn from Constitution DAO and active VC investor in web3, Shawn Xu, partner at On Deck, Philippe Klintefelt Collet, partner at Global Founders Capital, Einar Braathen, investor at CoinFund, Kjetil Holmefjord and Henrik Hatlebrekke, Norwegian early-stage investors and Abid Ali Teepo, COO of Kantega.

The new capital infusion will enable the startup to grow its team and launch new product offerings at a faster pace.

The management platform for community-driven funding in web3 is giving clients a single source, with the ability to easily collaborate, manage their cap table, and even do KYC. The startup allows anyone, anywhere, to come together and raise capital towards a common goal- be it investing in an early-stage web 3.0 project in return for tokens or pooling funds to bid on a digital asset up for auction.
