Irish platform unlocks €10 million for AI-driven data security

Cork-based AI-driven data discovery, classification and protection startup Getvisibility has raised €10 million funding. The Series A round was co-led by Luxembourg-based VC fund Alpha Intelligence Capital and Antwerp and Amsterdam-based investment firm Fortino Capital along with participation from existing investors, including Pires, Sure Valley Ventures and Manifold Investments.

The funds raised will be used to build out the senior management team, further develop the route to market and deliver the company’s near-term strategic plan. The company has until now raised over €13 million.

Founded in 2018 by Ronan Murphy and Mark Brosnan, the startup focuses on data visibility and control to classify and secure unstructured information using AI. It also provides risk and compliance assessments and enforces protection on sensitive data. In doing so, the platform helps organisations better visualise their data footprint to ensure more proactive management and security.
