Heylog dials in €3 million to boost communication in transport dispatching

Vienna’s messaging startup Heylog has raised €3 million to enable privacy-compliant communication with drivers and subcontractors via popular messaging services such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Viber. The round was backed by KUBIKx and Ninepointfive.

Founded in 2022, Heylog integrates existing messenger services in an intuitive platform to keep dispatchers and drivers perfectly connected.

According to Heylog co-founder Bernhard Hauser, things have to move fast in the daily transport and logistics business. That’s why many freight forwarding companies communicate with drivers using messaging services such as WhatsApp. “With Heylog, we help make communication over WhatsApp structured, efficient and compliant with European data protection standards. All data is stored in Europe and can be managed centrally by the dispatcher. You could say, we are making WhatsApp fit for today's logistics industry,” he said.

The communication service automatically translates messages into the driver’s language and helps to centrally manage orders and the exchange of documents on the go. With no installation and integration required, Heylog can save costs.
