From the creators of PrivateGPT, Zylon emerges from stealth announcing a $3.2M pre-seed funding round

Emerging from steal, Zylon, a new venture from the creators of PrivateGPT, has secured $3.2 million in a pre-seed funding round. The capital will be used to develop further the platform's generative AI aimed at catering to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The round was led by Felicis, with LifeX Ventures and Zypsy participating alongside an angel investor roster comprised of Travis McPeak, Kirill Tashilov, and Hans-Christian Zappel.

Zylon's web interface is designed for ease of use and customisation while leveraging open-source models like Meta's Llama 2 and Mistral's Mixtral. This allows businesses across diverse industries — from healthcare and finance to legal — to harness AI for tasks like content creation, data analysis, and document generation.

While you might be thinking that OpenAI and/or Google Geminard have got the market sewn up, but the red herring for Zylon lies in its roots, privacy. While not confirmed an iteration of PrivateGPT, the fact that its founders are inextricably tied to both projects leaves little room for doubt.

The company's co-founder Iván Martínez Toro is scheduled to speak at the Tech.eu Summit London 2024. Secure your tickets now!
