Danish accounting software fintech Ageras has acquired Storebuddy, a Danish payment reconciliation SaaS outfit, as it looks to expand its reach into e-commerce. The acquisition follows Ageras’ purchase of Shine from Société Générale last year. Ageras provides accounting software to over 300,000 European small businesses.

Founded in 2014,  Storebuddy is a SaaS solution used by watch designer Nordgreen and water sports firm Watery to automate accounting and reconciliation of orders, online payments, payouts and fees as well as to prepare one-stop-shop VAT reporting.

Ageras says the purchase supports its broader push into European e-commerce.

Ageras said:

As the European e-commerce industry continues to expand, so does the complexity of the related accounting and reporting requirements for online store owners, creating an increasing demand for specialised tools that simplify administration - which is exactly what Storebuddy represents.

Martin Hegelund, co-founder of Ageras, said that Storebuddy’s software  makes “life easier for Danish online store owners by automating time-heavy accounting tasks”.

Lasse Juhl Kirk, co-founder of Storebuddy, said the acquisition would mean that its tech would be brought to more customers beyond Denmark.

Ageras, which last year raised €82m, is on the acquisition hunt, looking to carry out one or two acquisitions before a planned IPO in 2026.
