Swedish construction logistics startup Alrik raises €7M to expand across Europe

Stockholm-based startup Alrik, which provides logistics software for the construction sector, has raised a fresh round of funding to accelerate its expansion across Europe. The round was led by Nordic VC People Ventures, with returning investor Pi Labs, a London-based early-stage proptech firm, also participating. The new capital brings Alrik’s total funding to €7 million.

Alrik offers a platform designed to modernise the construction logistics process, a segment of the industry often plagued by inefficiencies, high costs, and carbon emissions. While the construction sector globally accounts for an estimated €15 trillion annually, logistics consumes about 10 percent of this spend. Yet much of it is still managed manually through phone calls, spreadsheets, and physical ledgers.

By contrast, Alrik's software connects all stakeholders — including merchants, suppliers, carriers, truck drivers, and construction sites — in a centralised, digital ecosystem. It aims to reduce costs, streamline deliveries, and provide automated emissions tracking. According to the company, customers using Alrik typically see a 25 percent cost reduction per delivery and gain access to automated environmental reporting.

“Think of Alrik as the Doordash for building material merchants,” said Nici Sundén-Cullberg, Founder and CEO.

Co-founder and CPO Axel Enblad added, “Alrik is a modern operating system that helps merchants stay focused on their core business while we automate logistics, optimize transport sourcing, manage invoicing, and connect seamlessly with ERPs, carriers, drivers and construction sites — turning messy, analogue workflows into one smart, scalable system.”

The startup’s growth over the past year has been striking. Monthly shipments through the app have grown from 2,000 to over 25,000, with a reported 10x increase in both revenue and app usage. Alrik’s marketplace model is designed to build network effects, enabling each customer to connect with thousands of carriers and over 100,000 construction sites.

Its client roster includes major Nordic players such as Saint-Gobain, Renta, Byggmax, Sonsab, XL-Bygg, and Karl Hedin. The company is now targeting broader expansion across northern Europe and into the UK.

“Alrik isn’t just solving today’s logistics challenges with a smart SaaS approach, it’s unlocking new revenue streams and creating powerful distribution effects that connect merchants, carriers, and construction sites into a future-ready ecosystem,” said Thérèse Mannheimer of People Ventures.

Dhruv Gupta at Pi Labs added, “Alrik is solving one of construction’s biggest friction points - and the momentum speaks for itself. We’re excited to support their accelerated growth and positive impact on the €1.5 trillion construction logistics industry.”

The company plans to use the new funds to accelerate go-to-market efforts and enhance its platform for enterprise clients across Europe.
