Whisper raises €1.6M for the next-gen cybersecurity platform

Amsterdam-based Whisper, a cybersecurity platform, has closed a pre-seed funding round of €1.6 million.

Whisper uses knowledge graph technology to develop a platform that provides users with an unparalleled ‘God Mode’ view of the internet, predicting cyber attacks earlier, faster and more accurately than before.

Cybercrime has surged by over 300 per cent since 2015, fueled by increasingly sophisticated tactics such as multi-vector, correlated, and AI-powered attacks. As threat actors evolve, so does the scale of the damage. McKinsey is projecting global cybersecurity-related losses to reach $10.5 trillion annually by the end of 2025.

This rapidly evolving landscape highlights the pressing need for next-generation cybersecurity solutions that can anticipate and neutralize sophisticated, coordinated threats.

Since launching in January, Whisper has secured pilot projects with other cybersecurity providers and is striving to enter the market rapidly post-fundraising.

The company was founded by Soroush Rafiee Rad, Leonardo Carlo Calisse, and Kaveh Ranjbar, a team that brings together extensive technical knowledge and startup experience.

Leonardo Carlo Calisse, co-founder and CEO of Whisper, shared:

The surge in multi-vector, AI-driven cyber attacks is pushing enterprises to confront a new era of complex and coordinated threats, demanding an entirely new generation of cybersecurity. With Whisper, we give defenders unprecedented, real-time visibility into attacker infrastructure, enabling them to act before damage is done. Think a live threat radar for cyber threats.

Atlas AI^VB Fund I, is the lead investor in the round, alongside Antler, D11Z, Tioga Trust, and Volve Capital.

RJ Schuurs, Partner at Antler, comments:

Whisper has a founding team of real industry experts building world-class technology to address the rapidly growing and evolving problem of cyber attacks. They have the potential to become one of the leading cybersecurity companies in the world, and we are delighted to have supported them from day zero.

The funding will be used to support Whisper’s expansion into Europe and the US and to strengthen its technology and sales teams through key strategic hires.
