Turkish cybersecurity startup ATAR Labs raises €2.5 million seed round

ATAR Labs, an Istanbul-based cybersecurity startup, has raised €2.5m in a seed funding round led by Diffusion Capital Partners.

ATAR Labs was built by Innovera, a Turkish cybersecurity consulting firm, and has now been spun off as an independent company.

The new funds will be used for internationalising, by opening offices in Europe, the UK, and the UAE, and expanding its engineering team. The company describes its technology as like a “like a cockpit” for incident management and response.

“ATAR was developed for supporting these teams who have to cope with as many as 4,000 cyber alerts daily by offering a faster, more flexible and smarter investigations management system for the SOCs ,” said Innovera cofounder Burak Dayıoğlu, who has been appointed CEO of the company.

“Our technology has already proved its success in Turkey and several other regions of the world, and ATAR has now a clear purpose of spreading its foremost technology solutions to the world as a standalone business as ATAR Labs.”
