Business information and data intelligence company Graydon has been acquired by Atradius, which upped its stake in the company from 44% to 55%.
Atradius, a Dutch company, specialises in trade credit insurance and debt collections. This helps explain the reasoning behind the acquisition; Graydon helps its clients determine whether to do business with other companies based on data it gathers and curates.
The acquired company, which has offices in The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, says it has information on more than 90 million companies.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Graydon will stay independent, the companies said in a statement.
