British machine learning deployment startup Seldon secures £2.7 million from Amadeus Capital Partners

London-based machine learning (ML) deployment launchpad Seldon has landed a £2.7 million funding round led by Amadeus Capital Partners alongside Global Brain Corporation, Techstars, and other existing investors.

The startup has created Seldon Core, an open-source ML deployment platform that supposedly makes it easier to manage and optimise ML models at scale, which had more than 170,000 installs in 2018. This year, the startup plans to release an enterprise-grade product, Seldon Deploy, which will include support for compliance processes, advanced experiments, and model explanations.

Seldon was founded in 2014 and went through the Techstars Barclays Accelerator in London in 2016.
