Same-day delivery service Borzo has raised $35 million in a Series C funding round. The new funds will be used to support a global rebranding campaign as well as foster further product development. Over the past 9 years, the company has raised $94 million.

The Russian-founded company has operations in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam. Borzo, now formerly known as Dostavista, services over 2 million active SME’s via a network of some 2.5 million couriers, delivering an average of 3 million orders a month.

For customers, it’s a simple matter of using an app to have a parcel picked up on delivered within the same day. behind the scenes, Borzo uses a series of algorithms to optimise parcel delivery routing to ensure this delivery regardless of the mode of transport, weight, or size. A reasonable comparison would be Sennder, but on a smaller scale.

Borzo’s $35 million arrives via Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala, VNV Global, Russian Direct Investment Fund, Flashpoint Venture Capital, and other unnamed investors.
