Geneva-based virtual reality (VR) developer Kenzan Studios has received €4.7 million in Series A round led by InvestVR.

Founded in 2006 by CEO Ronny Tobler, Kenzan Studios provides global brands with original VR environments and characters, along with animations, visual effects and user interfaces.

The company intends to use the funding to grow its team of 30 developers, further develop its own VR IP, and continue their research on immersive technologies.

“The success in securing Series A funding led by InvestVR will allow us to focus on constant R&D, forward-thinking creative forces, and to take utmost care on what makes a VR & AR experience truly immersive,” Tobler said in a statement quoted by Swiss news site StartupTicker.ch
