Swedish fintech startup Minna raises €15.5 million for subscription management tool

Swedish startup Minna, creator of an eponymous subscription management app, has raised €15.5 million in a Series B round led by Element Ventures, with support from MiddleGame Ventures, Nineyards Equity and Visa. The funding will help the fintech company scale internationally, as it has “requests from all continents”, according to a press release.

Founded in Gothenburg in 2016, Minna built a tool that lets customers manage subscription services directly within their bank’s app. So far the company is partnering with Swedbank, ING and Lloyds Banking Group. Users can terminate a subscription at the push of a button. This not only halts payments but also severs any data connection with the provider. The app will also notify when a free trial is about to end, so the user can shut it down before any automatic payments are made. The new round brings the Nordic startup’s total funding to over €23 million. Back in 2019, the company was a second place Digital Finance contender in the EIT Digital Challenge.
