Numan, an online health clinic for men, raises £10 million Series A round

Numan, the London-based startup building an online health clinic for men, has completed a £10 million Series A funding round led by Novator, joined by Anthemis Exponential, Vostok New Ventures and Colle Capital. The fresh funding will go to product development and expanding the team.

The digital health startup, which launched in February 2019, wants to make men’s healthcare more accessible — and to normalise seeking such care, citing that 3 out of 4 men don't go to the doctor when something is wrong.

The clinic sells direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical drugs and health products, and also offers personalised supplements and online consultations with a UK-based doctor, all related to common male health concerns. The website specifically highlights erectile dysfunction, hair loss and quitting smoking.

Sam Shah, the former Director of Digital Development of NHSX, a body overseeing the digital transformation of the UK’s national healthcare system, has recently joined Numan as Chief Medical Strategy Officer.
