French startup Ornikar, which provides online resources for people learning to drive, has raised €10 million from Idinvest Partners, Partech Ventures, Elaia Partners, and Brighteye Ventures.
The startup provides lower cost online-based driving and road safety tutorials. It currently has 200,000 users and operates in 250 cities in France. The new funds will be used to bolster its position in France and eventually internationalise, aiming to launch in its first European market outside of France by the end of the year.
It added in a statement that will be recruiting 30 new people this year and is considering ways to offer car insurance.
