Paris-based private-wealth platform Klub raises $10 million, builds the bridge between centralised and decentralised finance

Private wealth and private services platform Klub has raised $10 million in a seed round led by Amnis Ventures, BlackDragon, and Moonwhale Ventures. Private investors including Cyril Paglino, Alexandre Yazdi, Tariq Krim, Ron Stolero, Owen Simonin, Guillaume Lestrade, also participated as well as a number of executives from Meryll Lynch, Société Générale, American Express, Rothschild & Co.

"I've been following Réda's work for quite some time now, and have always been impressed by the technical and product skill teams he's been able to assemble. Klub is just the beginning, and I'm very excited to see where he takes the  Ki foundation moving forward," comments early investor Tariq Krim.

Launched in 2019 by Réda Berrehili, Klub is aimed at high valuer earners who are interested in investing and growing their capital, as opposed to those that prefer to squander it all on lottery tickets. They cite that their clients are “at the crossroads of private banks, too elitist, and neobanks, not adapted to their needs.”

Klub is an invite-only club, which doesn’t sound elitist at all, and grants members access to personalised financial services and high-yield investment opportunities through the facilitation of centralised and decentralised finance.

Members are required to become an ecosystem stakeholder by purchasing XKI, which of course is pronounced Kee, the platform’s cryptocurrency. According to the society, 175 million Key, ney, Kee, ney, XKI will be in circulation by the end of 2021, and will be issued at $0.10 at listing.

The non-elitist platform offers three non-neobank-esque levels, Premium, Titanium, and Black, each with access to banking services, investment ops, savings and credits products, crypto purchase and asset transfer services; as well as insurance and “lifestyle partners” offers. Is that more like a Jeffrey Epstein lifestyle, or more like a His Holiness The Dalai Lama lifestyle?

“We are very proud to have been able to bring together, leading figures from the world of traditional finance as well as forerunners from the world of crypto-assets. This allows us to benefit from the most effective advice in order to make these two worlds meet.” said Réda Berrehili, Co-Founder of Klub.
