Content creation platform Quill reaches £10 million with latest round

London-based Quill, a cloud-based content creation platform, has announced that it has raised a total of £10 million today with its latest investment from Smedvig Capital and Panoramic Growth Equity.

The new funds will be used to further develop its freelance platform as well as expanding in the US and Europe.

The company, founded by Ed Bussey, has built a cloud-based platform for freelance content creators to provide brands with written or visual content.

“With our unique business model - using technology to enable a global talent marketplace - we can produce high quality content at the speed and scale required by the fast growth ecommerce companies emerging globally,” said Bussey. “This investment round gives us the financial firepower to scale our operations on a global scale.”

Quill’s previous investors include Dan’Hewitt, a VP at Walt Disney; Shakil Khan, former head of projects at Spotify; and Jonathan Pfitzner of Secret Escapes.
