Stockholm’s relationship wellness app Coupleness has raised $1.1 million in a seed round led by Icebreaker. Kry co-founder Joachim Hedenius and Epidemic Sound COO Marcus Lewold also participated as Angel Investors. Coupleness is reporting that the funding will be used to help promote the product and accelerate growth.
Founded in 2019 by Ted Rosén and Jenny Holmström, Coupleness seeks to promote relationship wellness for couples through active investment in the bond. The app is an innovative communication platform that guides couples through practical activities that each partner can exercise on a daily basis.
Banking on the McKinsey study that estimates a $1.5 trillion value of the wellness industry, Coupleness synthesises elements of wellness and mindfulness to foster healthy relationships. The firm believes that deepened relationships are beneficial to not only individuals and couples but for all of humanity.
“Just a few minutes of connection per day can help couples feel stronger in their relationship while they juggle their busy lives,” comments CEO Holmström. “Love is a skill that we can get better at, so we built Coupleness to help couples practice and grow together.”
