KissKissBankBank acquires French charity crowdfunder Goodeed

Goodeed, a French charity crowdfunding and donation startup, has been acquired by crowdfunding platform KissKissBankBank. No terms for the deal were announced.

Goodeed’s platform generates revenue from video ads and distributes this money to NGOs and charities. According to KissKissBankBank, which was acquired last year by French bank La Banque Postale, the platform will become a branch of the company and will create new funding solutions for the charity sector and NGOs.

Vincent Ricordeau, CEO of KissKissBankBank, described Goodeed as one of the “most innovative crowdfunding models” to emerge in the space.

“To allow anyone, including the youngest, to get involved in NGOs and humanitarian actors without budgetary constraints, represents a major innovation. Associating brands to our platform has always been one of our development axis,” he said.

“Integrating Goodeed within our panel of financing tools dedicated to humanitarian and societal projects was natural. We are today very happy to welcome Goodeed within our group.”

“Voluntary associations are looking for new triggers to grow their communities, hence, the digitalization of caritative funding is at the heart of their strategies,” added Goodeed CEO Vincent Touboul Flachaire.

“We are very proud to join La Banque Postale and KissKissBankBank, who share our ambition and our peer-to-peer perspectives. We will continue to trust them, to pursue our mission, with means as substantial as the social challenge that we are addressing, as we preserve our commitment.”
