The world’s largest crypto investment conference Crypto Capital World Summit takes place in Vilnius, Lithuania on April 25-26. It will see stakeholders in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space – startups, investors, regulators – converge to take the pulse of the industry, whether it’s ICOs, investment trends, or the implementation of blockchain in the finance sector.

The conference has assembled a lengthy roster of speakers for the two-day event that will be delivering keynote speeches or taking part in panels that attempt to pick apart this industry and provide valuable insights. Here are some of the speakers that will be in attendance.

Tim Draper, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Draper Associates

Tim Draper is no stranger to the VC space having cofounded Draper Fisher Jurvetson, the firm that has backed Tesla, Skype, and Coinbase, and is now managing more than $5 billion in assets. In recent years, Draper has become an ardent supporter of bitcoin by investing in cryptocurrency. Draper told Tech.eu a little about his interest in crypto investing and his upcoming talk.

As someone from the VC space, what first attracted you to cryptocurrency and blockchain?
The virtual world. Gaming included cryptocurrencies and people were living lives in both the real world and the virtual world. I suspected that people might come up with a currency that would go across games. Then bitcoin appeared. It was amazing. Virtual, global, frictionless. Trusted third party. Everything.

Can you tell us a little about the investments that you have made in these areas?
I have invested in bitcoin itself, Tezos, the faster smart contract token, Bancor, the platform for everyman tokens, Datawallet, the token that allows you to take back your data, SpaceCash, the token that drives space exploration, Credo, the token that puts a value on your email time, and a few others.

What will you be covering in your talk at Crypto Capital World?
I never know what will come out of my mouth.

What is the most important piece of advice you would give to someone that wants to get involved in cryptocurrency investing?
Get a Coinbase wallet and buy some Bitcoin, then get a Ledger and put some other tokens on it. You will feel like you no longer need a bank. [Draper is an investor in Coinbase and Ledger through DFJ and Draper Esprit].

Shane V. Kehoe, SVK Crypto

Kehoe is the cofounder of SVK Crypto in London, which runs the SVK Crypto Master Fund that backs ICOs and blockchain startups. He was previously a partner at BlueCrest Capital Management and is taking his years of investment experience and applying it to cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Matyas Zaborszky, ICO advisor

Zaborszky is an advisor, mentor, and investor in all things ICO. He comes from an online marketing background and is now helping crypto startups to better formulate their token sales and draw in investors. He is the author of the ICO marketing playbook, 6 Proven Steps to Attract ICO Investors.

Marius Jurgilas, Bank of Lithuania

Jurgilas is a board member at the Bank of Lithuania, the country’s main financial regulator. He will be giving insights and takes from the regulators’ point of view. The Bank of Lithuania is one of the most active authorities in the EU when it comes to blockchain and is in the process of developing its own blockchain platform.

Ilja Laurs, Nextury Ventures

Laurs is the founder and CEO of venture capital firm Nextury Ventures, one of the partners of Crypto Capital World. Based in Vilnius, Nextury has invested in early stage startups in Lithuania, especially in the area of fintech, to help them prepare and launch globally.

The conference also features a startup pitching competition called CCW2018 Pitch Event, which will take place on Thursday, April 26. Startups will have 200 seconds to pitch their idea to a panel of judges for the chance to win €5,000 worth of startup media exposure on Tech.eu.
